A part of The Emerald Five Series for TTBB.
A great take on the a cappella standard, and written as baritone feature. It features an opening with the baritone, and the tenors imitating the modal guitar open.
– Rhythm: The only difficult rhythms are in the bass. Sixteenth notes are common. The “guitar” open requires offbeats and your tenors to maintain an eighth note pulse.
– Range: The bass is low (low E), and is better suited to college basses or an exceptional high school bass. The melody in the baritone, which is the lead, is high, but another part can sing the lead if need be.
– Harmony: The progression is easy and repeats throughout.
